Sub Sale to Support the Cadets of the Volunteer Fire Company #1 of Chesapeake City at Station 12, located on Route 213 just south of Chesapeake City.

From 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Subs are made to order. You can choose from Italian, Ham & Cheese, Tunafish, Turkey or a Roast Beef! The cost is $8.00 each for a 12-inch sub!

Vulcan’s Rest Rainbow Swirl Basket

Cost: $85.00
Class Limit: 15

Description: You will learn how to coil pine needles around the rim of a gourd to create a rainbow swirl pattern utilizing the caps of the needles. The pine needles have been dyed using glycerine and Rit Dye. This project includes 3 colors of pine needles. The sample on the left is using 7 colors and is for inspiration only.
Tools to bring with you: Small needle nose pliers, fine tipped wire cutters for jewelry and sharp scissors.
Materials provided with the class: The prepared gourd (cleaned, sanded and holes drilled, 3 different colors of dyed pine needles, artificial sinew, sewing needle and detailed tutorial (emailed after the class).

Length of the class: 9:30-4:00 with 1-hour lunch break.

Vulcan’s Rest Infinity Twisted Rim and Porcelain Beads

Description: You will learn how to coil pine needles around the rim of a gourd and how to incorporate porcelain beads into your work. You will finish off the basket with a double twisted rim that blends seamlessly for the infinity look.
Tools to bring with you: Small needle nose pliers, fine tipped wire cutters for jewelry and sharp scissors.
Materials provided with the class: The prepared gourd (cleaned, sanded and holes drilled, glycerinated pine needles, waxed linen, sewing needle and detailed tutorial (emailed after the class).

Length of the class: 9:30-4:30 with 1-hour lunch break.

5K Races @ Chesapeake City Canal

9th Annual Chesapeake City Canal Race 5K. We ask all participants and guests to bring a non-perishable food item for The Chesapeake City Ecumenical Associations Food Pantry.

7:00am- Registration opens
