Best of the regional bluegrass bands will perform outdoors all day, with food vendors and more, right on the banks of the Chesapeake & Delaware canal

Parade begins at 6:30 pm followed by music, food and fun in Pell Gardens. Fireworks at dusk are an awesome show of lights over the Canal, viewable from the North and the South sides of the Canal.

Painters of all stripes will set up around town all through the weekend to paint the picturesque waterfront, gardens, historic architecture and fantastic views of the canal and bridge. The weekend culminates in a wet paint exhibit and wine tasting, where the completed works will be available to view and to purchase. This is the third year for this event, which has grown in number and in stature ever year.
11:00 am – 4:00 pm. Over 50 wedding vendors display everything you need to make your wedding ” A Dream Come True”; fashion show with the latest attire, door prizes, hors d’oeuvres, entertainment. Tickets in advance or at the door.
Old Fashioned Fall Festival from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Pell Gardens. This is a family event for the town and surrounding community. Activities will include games, square dancing, hay rides, a scarecrow hunt, vendors, food, a “cake walk,” music and more. Food will include Milburn Orchard’s apples, cider, doughnuts and goods from the Cecil County Farmer’s Market. Bring a blanket or chair and spend the day.
October 25 and 26th
Hooded Ghouls guide visitors who become a part of a murder mystery, performed by a professional acting troupe, unfolding on the porches and other hallowed locations in the historic district of this 19th-century canal town. Tours begin at 5pm, last tour departs Town Hall at 9 pm.
We do an early holiday kick off after Thanksgiving, and our pets really love us for dressing them up and trotting them out for all to enjoy. Prizes are awarded and fun is had by all!
